Certificate III in School Based Education Support: Find Out More
RPL makes it possible to gain a qualification without traditional study. Start with a self-assessment to review your current skills.
If you’re a good match, you can complete the Certificate III fully online. If not, we’ll suggest minimal top-up training to help you get qualified quickly.
RPL maps your experience to formal qualifications. Credit transfer applies to past VET courses you’ve already completed that may be relevant but not exactly the same as a CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support.

- A copy of your existing qualification
- Record of results (which includes details of the issuing RTO and the date issued),
- Statement of attainment previously issued for each unit of competency, or authenticated VET transcripts downloaded from the USI (Unique Student Identifier) platform.
This course can be completed using an assessment only pathway through RPL in Traxion if you possess sufficient skills and experience, as determined by the assessor.

The specific course entry requirements are:
- Basic computer skills
- Have 6 months’ experience in school education support
- Have completed at least 100 hours in an Australian classroom
- Provide workplace access details for assessment purposes
The ACC identifies the facilities, resources, and equipment that the student has or had access to through their workplace or host organisation, as part of their previous experience being assessed for RPL.

To qualify for a CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support, you must have completed 100 hours of vocational placement in a school-based education setting.
There are 2 units of competencies in this Qualification which requires vocational placement.
- CHCEDS034 requires students to have performed the activities outlined in the performance criteria of this unit during a period of at least 100 hours of work within at least one school in Australia. More information can be found here.
