How You’ll Qualify: Flexible Online Delivery

Achieve your next qualification online with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Traxion Training specialises in supporting experienced professionals who are currently employed in their respective industries.

As part of the RPL process, you will begin by completing a self-reflection questionnaire. This initial step will identify your existing skills and knowledge, determining whether you are eligible for RPL or if additional training is needed to meet the qualification requirements.

Successful RPL outcomes can significantly shorten training and learning duration, ensuring a more efficient path to achieving your next diploma or certificate. You’ll either be able to qualify entirely online without the need to study, or we will recommend one or two modules to get you over line.

Choose this tailored and flexible online approach, and unlock the next stage in your career sooner.

RPL & Credit Transfer Explained

Recognition of Prior Learning is all about the skills and knowledge you’ve collected through work and life experiences and then transferring them to current training course requirements.

Credit transfer also recognises previous formal learning (e.g. other VET qualifications).

Our consultants will request:

  • A copy of your existing qualification
  • Record of results (which includes details of the issuing RTO and the date issued),
  • Statement of attainment previously issued for each unit of competency, or authenticated VET transcripts downloaded from the USI (Unique Student Identifier) platform.

All courses can be completed using an assessment only pathway through RPL in Traxion if you possess sufficient skills and experience, as determined by the assessor.

All policy information regarding conditions of enrolment, refunds and our guarantee to complete all assessment requirements once the enrolment has commenced, is contained in our Terms and Conditions.

For further information, please refer to the Student Handbook.

The specific course entry requirements for a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability Stream) are:

  • Traxion Training will outline the process clearly at course commencement and gather evidence from you, to demonstrate your capacity to manage the assessment requirements. If you are not able to meet these requirements straight away, alternative pathways will be recommended.
  • Technology skills – you need basic level computer skills and access to a computer.
  • Approximately 6 months of experience in the Community Services, or/and disabilities and healthcare industry.
  • You should have completed a total of at least 120 hours of work in a specific range of skills related to the community services or/and healthcare services industry as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours.
Vocational Placement: Requirement for hours worked

This Cert 3 requires students to have completed a minimum of 120 hours of vocational placement. Traxion Training expects students to have already completed these hours because Traxion only offers assessment only based assessment methods and we do not offer any training and delivery for this qualification.

If you do not meet the vocational placement hours requirement in the specified units of competencies of the qualification, we will not be able to issue a Statement of Attainment for the specified unit of competency or a qualification.

There is one unit of competency in this Qualification that requires vocational placement.

  • Unit CHCCCS040 requires students to have performed the activities outlined in the performance criteria of this unit during a period of at least 120 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia. More information can be found here.

Please note: If you don’t meet the placement requirement, Traxion cannot award your diploma.
